Clare Hanusz, Esq., RIP

On Feb. 24, 2023, our colleague, trusted advisor, and fellow board member Clare Hanusz (Immigration Attorney and Founder of Aloha Immigration) passed away peacefully after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Ever a devoted and strong supporter of immigrant justice and The Legal Clinic (TLC), Clare and her family have generously requested that donations be made in her memory to any of the four organizations/causes that Clare cared deeply about, including TLC. A true angel now, Clare, you are with us in spirit.

In April 2025, The Legal Clinic honored Clare in memoriam with a “Guardians of Immigrant Justice Award” and established a new “Clare Hanusz Emerging Leaders in Immigrant Justice Award” in her honor.
